The Esplanade Vaults - St Kilda Festival

Esplanade Vaults open today between 10am and 6pm at the St Kilda festival.
the vaults are located on the Lower Esplanade acroos from the St Kilda sea baths.

The vaults housed 10 shops which were closed and bricked up in the 1970's.

Asia-Pacific Melbourne Ironman 2012 - St Kilda Finish line

Australian triathlon legend Craig Alexander heading to the finish line at St Kilda Beach to win the 2012 Melbourne Asia-Pacific Ironman.

Melbourne 2012 Ironman winner Caroline Steffen with partner Dave Dellow on the finish line at St Kilda Sea Baths, Dave came in 5th in the Mens race.

Sunshine Coast Based Swiss Caroline Steffens celebrating her Melbourne Ironman win. her time of 8.34.51 is the second fastest ever Ironman time. I wonder if her new Cloudracer ON shoes helped her to this time.

St Kilda Beach - Too Polluted for Swimming

St Kilda Beach has been rated "unacceptable" for swimming today and tomorrow because of pollution.
This is due to Elevated bacterial levels after recent heavy rain.
